I'm Dr. Andrea Mendoza

A practicing anesthesiologist, nervous system mentor, and guide for women in medicine who are exhausted by the weight they carry.

I created The Regulated MD after my own unraveling.

I had done everything "right." I followed the plan. I became a doctor. I held space for patients and families in some of the hardest moments of their lives. And I held it all together… until I couldn't.

My body started speaking louder. Anxiety, burnout, trouble sleeping. I couldn't come down from the cortisol spikes. My nervous system was stuck in overdrive, and my life outside of work started to collapse under the pressure of always being "on."

What finally shifted things for me?

It wasn't another productivity hack. It wasn't another planner.

It was regulation.

• It was releasing the trauma stored in my body.

• It was learning how to not carry what isn't mine.

• It was rewiring what I believed about calm, control, and performance.

Now, I help other women do the same.
